Practical information for your visit to the the City Museum.

We help you at our desk on floor 0 and are open during the museum’s opening hours.

Cloakroom

There is a cloakroom with lockers to the left of the main entrance on the ground floor.

Toilets

Toilets, including accessible toilets, are available on the ground, first and second floors. Baby changing stations are available on the ground and first floors.

Picnic room

You can bring a packed lunch with you and eat it in the picnic room Mellanrummet on the mezzanine floor above the main entrance hall. There are  two microwave ovens at your disposal. You can also eat your packed lunch at the City Museum’s yard.

Prams and baby strollers

Prams and baby strollers are welcome in the museum. Stroller parking is provided in the yard and you can lock your stroller on a wire. There are also a few parking spaces on the mezzanine floor above the elevator entrance hall, ask our staff for guidance!

Groups with own guides

Booked tours under the museum’s direction have priority over tour groups with external guides. This includes school classes.

Photography

Photography is permitted without flash and stands/tripods.

Free Wi-Fi

The museum is equipped with free Wi-Fi. Network: StockholmPublic.

Smoking

Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is not allowed in the museum or courtyard/stairs.

Dogs

Dogs are not allowed on our walks and shows (does not apply to guide dogs).
