Wind Music Day

Location: City Museum’s courtyard

Price: Free of charge

Kulturskolan Stockholm fills the courtyard with wind music.

Sit down in a green comfortable public sofa and listen to ten orchestras that offer a cavalcade of music. Applaud and cheer on musicians who may be on stage for the very first time. Most likely, you will meet several future stars this day. Then you know where you heard them first.

Keep an eye out for participating orchestras and times!

About Wind Music Day

On May 25th, wind musicians of all ages go out and fill squares, streets, stages, churches, association premises, concert halls, and digital channels with wind music. It is the day when Sweden’s united wind music forces show the importance of the role of wind music in our contemporary and future music life.

In collaboration with Kulturskolan Stockholm.

At the courtyard’s outdoor seating area, it is sun-safe between 11.30am and 2.30pm. Here, you can sit down on a sofa or rocking chair and cool off with raspberry soda and the museum’s own pastries.

If you would rather enjoy a pickled salmon in the shade, there is plenty of space under large umbrellas or in a corner by the green arbor. And for the really hot days, it is recommended to take a lounge chair in the middle of the square where a refreshing breeze often reaches.

The courtyard and programs are accessible to people with strollers and wheelchairs.
