Chamber Music: Stina Ekblad Interprets August Strindberg

Date:

Time:

Location: City Museum, Auditorium floor 2

Price: 135–270 SEK

Meet one of Sweden's most esteemed actors, Stina Ekblad, in a personally curated program.

We will hear texts and poems, some set to music, from across August Strindberg’s works. The readings will be in Swedish.

We’ll also hear music that inspired Strindberg, as well as music inspired by him. Look forward to chamber music by Ludwig van Beethoven, J.S. Bach, Felix Mendelssohn, Frédéric Chopin, and contemporary composer Gunnar Edander. Plus, a song written by August Strindberg himself!

Stina Ekblad will be accompanied on stage by guitarist David Härenstam and violinist Nils-Erik Sparf.

The event is being held with the support of the Swedish Arts Council.
