Auditorium

The auditorium is the museum’s largest venue. It is suitable for both large conference groups and smaller gatherings seated at group tables. It can also be set up for a grand banquet dinner.

The artist Carl Johan Sevenbom was commissioned by the city to paint various locations in the 18th century. Several of his paintings now adorn the walls of the auditorium and are part of City Museum’s art collection. In the 18th century, Freemasons used this space, which later became a Catholic church, a theatre, a ballroom and concert venue, and a boys' school.
