One of Stockholm’s oldest taverns opened here in the early 1700s under the name Södra stadshuskällaren. The tavern had a great reputation and hosted many celebrations with prominent guests, including Carl Michael Bellman, Gustav III, and Ulla Winblad. Not to mention the infamous thief Lasse-Maja, who likely shared tales of his escapades here.
