Don’t miss the chance to meet this world-renowned artist in a more intimate chamber music format.

Stockholm Chamber Music takes residence in City Museum!

In the first concert of the series, we meet none other than the Swedish-Iranian star soprano Negar Zarassi.

With her warm and expressive voice, Negar Zarassi has touched millions with her singing. Whether it’s large TV productions with millions of viewers or a small stage with an intimate setup, she reaches the hearts of her listeners. With her full sound and unique ability to always create presence, she has been engaged as a soloist by, among others, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and the Malmö Opera. Her solo concerts at Storan and Stenhammarsalen in Gothenburg, autumn 2023, were quickly sold out.

During the concert, you will hear her perform everything from classical opera arias by Mozart and Schubert to Persian folk songs and musical tunes in chamber music format. There will also be Spanish music with Manuel de Falla’s “Siete canciones populares españolas”, a series of folk songs arranged by Benjamin Britten.

Negar Zarassi is accompanied on classical guitar by David Härenstam, artistic director of Stockholm Chamber Music and cellist Emma Beskow.

The concerts are made possible with support from Region Stockholm and Längmanska kulturfonden.
