Join us on a musical journey through Stockholm, from Bellman to Taube and Adolphson. The concert features baritone Olle Persson, piano and guitar.
Over the centuries, Stockholm has been home to, and an inspiration for, some of Sweden’s best-loved composers and songwriters.
The programme features Carl Michael Bellman, Wilhelm Stenhammar, Allan Pettersson, Evert Taube and Olle Adolphson. These five musical voices offer different views of Stockholm across several centuries.
We begin with Bellman’s 18th-century songs and continue with songs by Taube and Adolphson. We then turn to the classical music of Stenhammar and Pettersson.
Between the music, you will hear stories about the music, the city and the people behind it (in Swedish). Olle Persson will also share personal memories of Olle Adolphson. They knew each other and worked closely together for many years.
