Booking Terms & Conditions
Information on renting our venues and practical details.
Booking
Our venues can be booked for private gatherings or lectures with pre-registration. Rentals for non-profit, commercial, political, or private events are permitted if:
- Museum booking terms are accepted.
- The event does not disturb the surroundings.
- No advertising takes place outside the venue.
- The organizer is clearly stated.
- The museum reserves the right to cancel events in case of violations or disturbances.
- The renter is responsible for security and any required guards.
For public events, the museum must be a co-organizer, and the content must be approved in advance.
Rental agreements cannot be transferred.
Cancellation
Cancellations must be made at least 25 business days before the booked date; otherwise, the full amount will be charged.
Venues
The museum’s venues are historically sensitive:
- Extensive equipment or modifications are not allowed.
- Smoking, open flames, and lanterns are prohibited.
- Emergency exits must remain clear.
- Food and drinks may only be served in designated areas.
Cloakroom and restrooms are included in the rental.
Staff
A conference host is included on weekdays. Additional staff costs:
- Conference host/security guard: SEK 900/hour after 5pm.
- Weekends and public holidays: Additional 20% on total cost.
Responsibilities
- The renter is responsible for following regulations and preventing unauthorized access.
- A designated contact person must be present throughout the event.
- Any damages must be covered by the renter.
- The museum is not responsible for lost belongings.
- The renter is responsible for reporting music use to STIM/SAMI.
- All materials used must be fire-rated.
The museum does not offer parking; street parking applies.
Setup & Dismantling
Setup
- The contact person must check in at the entrance.
- Stage platforms and stands must have floor protection.
- Deliveries must be pre-notified.
- The museum’s regular activities must not be disturbed.
Dismantling
- Dismantling must begin immediately after the event.
- Extra cleaning fees apply if needed.
- Equipment must be removed through the designated exit under staff supervision.
- Alarm-triggering incidents due to improper handling will be charged to the renter.
